Review of Very Latin 2 by Bryan Allen in “Dance News” Magazine
The latest review of Very Latin 2 was given by Bryan Allen, President of British Dance Council, and was published in Dance News, May 2016 issue.
"WRD music released "Very Latin Vol. 2" (WR2CD5075) with forty-three Modern Hits For Latin Dancing. This double album gives you almost two and a half hours of excellent Latin music with all with a modern touch.
Eleven Sambas and Rumbas, ten Cha Chas, nine Jives and a couple of Paso Dobles. All these are co-produced by DJ Ice & WRD Music and offer some very exciting tracks for dancing.
All the Samba are strong versions of many recent and hits, including great songs by Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez.
The first four of the Rumbas are at a slower tempo so as to retain the true emotion of these beautiful songs including a stunning version of Adele's "Hello". The last Rumba was my personal favourite "Bella Luna".
The Cha Chas are really great and energetic tracks, one of them being a very original interpretation of "Hit The Road Jack". Track 16 "The Funky Cha Cha" is brilliant, having a really modern feel and sound that will certainly appeal to many. The final one was "I Don't Like It... I Love It!". And you certainly will!
The Jives are outstanding! Starting with the new the Jive Aces recording of "Over the Rainbow" right through to the last terrific number "Bebabelula".
Finishing off with the Paso Dobles, "Espana Cani" has been recorded many many times, however this version is very good indeed. The last track "Writing's On the Wall", the Sam Smith Bond theme, works very well as a Paso.
All in all this album is yet another winner from WRD Music."
